The Happy Zine: The Experimental Work of Stefan Sagmeister explores the work of the titular graphic designer. Throughout the design process, I took inspiration from Sagmeister’s work, incorporating handwritten typography, interactive foldouts, a restricted color palette, and an intricate cutout cover. Each spread features a Stefan Sagmeister work, a written description and analysis of the piece, and additional relevant imagery. Throughout the zine I experimented with form and layout to emulate Sagmeister’s ever-evolving style, making it cohesive with the designer’s actual works.
