This Is Not A Video (TINV for short) is a long-running personal monthly project. Created as a means to share artwork, poetry, and writing through a physical media in an age of primarily digital communication, the zine is designed, curated, printed, and distributed in my free time. TINV has featured artists and writers from around the world and allowed me to create connections with the contributors through sharing this zine. The designs of each zine follow a few simple rules- each one uses grainy imagery simplified into a two-color design to convey each month’s theme, the date featured in a stencil style typeface, and the zine’s logo. These parameters keep each zine looking consistent with one another but still allows me to experiment with the actual imagery and layouts. TINV is currently on hiatus due to my current thesis workload, but will return soon.
