ABOUT THE ARTIST
Layne Worley was born in 2002 in the mountains of Brevard, North Carolina. In 2025, they received their Bachelors of Fine Arts in Photography and Graphic Design at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Worley has been included in various exhibitions including Perspectives at Goodyear Arts, the 2025 BFA Thesis Exhibition at Rowe Arts Gallery at UNCC, and was presented the 2025 Student Niner Media Impact Award for their work on Nova Literary-Arts Magazine Volume 56. They are currently working towards expanding their interdisciplinary practice into new mediums connected to their Appalachian ancestry, such as woodwork and basket weaving, and showing work in regional exhibitions as well as magazines. Worley currently works as a studio photographer in Charlotte, NC.
